Domestic Assistant

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Domestic Assistant to support the smooth operations of a private household. This role focuses on home organization, light-cleaning, errands, and household management. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, proactive, and enjoys creating an orderly, welcoming home environment. This candidate will also provide childcare for a few days a week, transportation and interactions within a pet-friendly home. Childcare will include involvement in creating a fun and entertaining environment with transportation to activities. Key Responsibilities Household Care & Organization General light cleaning, tyding and kitchen upkeep Laundry (washing, folding, ironing, organizing closets) Maintaining organized living spaces, pantries, and storage areas Seasonal organization and light decluttering support Errands & Household Support Grocery shopping and household supply restocking Running local errands (post office, dry cleaning, returns, etc.) Light meal prep or kitchen assistance to plan and prepare healthy- family style meals Coordinating basic household needs and reminders Childcare Support Pickup children from school, sports and other events and transport them safely home Provide occasional supervision until parent returns Light meal prep General direction of duties Creating and involvement in activities agreed upon with parent Additional Support (as needed) Assisting with event or guest preparation Pet care support (feeding, light walking, or scheduling appointments) Overseeing service providers (cleaners, maintenance, deliveries) Qualifications Prior experience in household assistance, housekeeping, or similar role preferred Strong attention to detail, time management skills along with initiative to start tasks that may not be directly assigned but needed Ability to work independently and follow instructions Trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of privacy Reliable transportation (if errands are required) Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical household tasks
