This energetic role is perfect for individuals passionate about senior care, providing vital assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and health monitoring. As a key member of our caregiving staff, you will work during the first shift to deliver exceptional patient-centered care in a dynamic and supportive environment. Your efforts will help foster independence, dignity, and comfort for our residents while ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards. Responsibilities Assist residents with personal care activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to promote independence and well-being. Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration in medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any abnormalities promptly to nursing staff. Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and tube feeding procedures. Maintain detailed medical documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times. Perform manual handling tasks safely when assisting with resident transfers or heavy lifting activities. Collaborate closely with nursing staff to implement individualized care plans aligned with state healthcare regulations and senior living facility standards. Skills Proven assisted living experience or nursing home experience with a strong understanding of geriatric patient needs. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support (CPR) techniques. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in hospice care settings is highly valued. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks required for resident mobility assistance.
