Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Home Help provider supporting an individual through a Self-Directed Care Program! The Home Help program is administered by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and provides personal care services to individuals who need hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and assistance with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). The Home Help program, previously known as Independent Living Services, is designed to support individuals who wish to live safely and independently in their home rather than live in an adult foster care home, home for the aged or nursing facility. A range of services are available to anyone who needs assistance to maintain the ability to live safely and independently in their home. Your energetic and compassionate approach will help enhance quality of life, promote safety, and foster independence for an individual with Prader-Willi Syndrome. Duties Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing household cleaning tasks Food inventory and portioning Grocery shopping Experience Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA standards
