Key Responsibilities:

Resident Personal Care:

Assist with daily personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility needs to promote comfort and well-being.

Medication Administration:

Safely pass medications as prescribed, following Michigan's adult foster care guidelines and protocols.

Meal Preparation:

Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs and preferences.

Housekeeping and Laundry:

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment through routine cleaning and laundry tasks.

Daily Record Keeping:

Accurately document resident activities, health observations, and care provided to ensure continuity and compliance with state regulations. Additional duties may include engaging residents in recreational activities, providing emotional support, and collaborating with team members to foster a positive atmosphere.

Qualifications:

Compassionate and patient demeanor with a sincere commitment to caring for individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, Down's syndrome, and autism. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting. Reliable, responsible, and able to follow instructions and safety protocols. Must pass a background check and meet Michigan's requirements for adult foster care staff. High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as resident care is provided 24/7.
