Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Companion to provide essential support and companionship to individuals in need of assistance. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a nurturing spirit and be committed to upholding resident rights while delivering exceptional care in a respectful manner. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning. Observe and report changes in the client's condition or behavior to appropriate personnel. Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed, ensuring their safety at all times. Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for residents. Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy and dignity at all times. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Skills Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and empathy. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges. Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to advocating for clients' needs. Experience in long-term care or group home settings is preferred but not required. Basic cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals for clients. Excellent patient observation skills to monitor health changes effectively. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, families, and team members.
