Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate and personalized care to elderly individuals in small assisted living facilities, or group home.
• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and document any changes or reactions.
• Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes or concerns to the appropriate medical personnel.
• Assist with meal planning and preparation, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are followed.
• Engage in conversation and companionship with clients to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
• Provide assistance with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping duties.

Experience:

• Previous experience in caregiving or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond calmly in emergency situations.
• Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies for managing challenging behaviors.
• Experience working in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Must have a genuine passion for providing care and support to seniors or individuals with disabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and prioritize tasks effectively.
