Overview We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Alzheimer's CareGiver to provide dedicated, high-quality care for a Male client with memory care needs. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, excellent patient observation skills, and a deep understanding of geriatric and dementia care. Responsibilities Monitor and observe the client's physical and emotional well-being, recognizing changes in condition or behavior promptly. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support. Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules, maintaining detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and home healthcare regulations. Support the client with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while respecting dietary restrictions. Operate patient transfer methods safely using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts, ensuring proper techniques to prevent injury. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks like laundry and cleaning. Communicate effectively with family members, healthcare professionals, and other caregivers to coordinate care plans and updates. Skills Proven experience working with individuals with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia within assisted living or home healthcare settings. Strong patient observation skills to identify early signs of health changes or behavioral issues. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for accurate documentation of patient care activities. Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, catheter care, vital signs monitoring, and basic life support (CPR/First Aid). Experience working within home health care regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA standards. Ability to assist with complex patient needs such as end-of-life care or hospice support when required. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and patient transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods.
