Location:
Pelican Landing Senior Living Schedule:
AM or PM, Part-time or Full-time Caring with Heart, Every Day- Care Specialist Our Resident Care Specialist provides compassionate, hands-on support with daily living activities—ensuring dignity, comfort, and well-being for every resident. Working closely with nursing and care teams, this role is essential in creating a safe, person-centered environment where residents thrive.
What You'll Do:
1. Personal Care Assistance
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
  • Ensure residents' hygiene and comfort are maintained with dignity and respect.
  • Support residents with meals, hydration, and snacks as needed. 2. Health Monitoring & Documentation
  • Observe and report changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to nursing staff.
  • Accurately document care provided and vital signs as required.
  • Assist with routine health checks and follow care plans. 3. Resident Engagement & Support
  • Encourage resident participation in social and recreational activities.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
  • Promote independence and dignity in all interactions. 4. Safety & Cleanliness
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in resident rooms and common areas.
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures consistently.
  • Assist with cleaning and laundry duties as assigned. 5. Team Collaboration & Communication
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers, nurses, and supervisors.
  • Participate in shift handovers and care plan updates.
  • Respond promptly to resident call lights and needs.
Qualifications:
    Education:
    High school diploma or GED preferred.
      Experience:
      Previous caregiving or healthcare experience preferred.
        Certifications:
        Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent preferred.
          Skills:
          Basic knowledge of elderly care and ability to follow care plans.
