Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition or behavior Administer medications accurately according to care plans while adhering to HIPAA and privacy regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Support patient transfer methods using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to ensure safety Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient progress, and any incidents in compliance with healthcare standards Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community activities to promote social engagement Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely Familiarity with care plans, resident's rights, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and home health protocols Certifications in CPR and First Aid are required; additional training in HIPAA compliance preferred Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and coordination with healthcare teams Our dedicated caregivers are essential in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel valued and empowered.
