You would need to be comfortable with infants and toddlers. Our facility is a smaller sized one and pretty laid back. We do offer a preschool program to our older kids, and having someone here to help for a few hours a day would help our other teachers be able to sit down and make new learning opportunities for our older toddlers. This would be a Monday through Thursday 10am -1 pm for sure. Then if someone is on vacation or is sick you would work their hours. Typically 830 am to 1 pm. then 3 pm to 445 pm. Federal holidays and school days off would be on a need basis. Duties Provide attentive supervision and care for children six weeks of age to 3 yrs old. Ensure safety by adhering to childhood development best practices, behavior management strategies, and mandated reporting laws. Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, maintaining a safe environment at all times. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on their child's progress and daily experiences. Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices tailored to each child's needs. Training classes online to get started as well as throughout the year. Skills Experience working with children across various settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, or nannying is not a must but helps. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education techniques. Happy and wanting to be at work Ability to manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies. Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure safety during emergencies. Excellent communication skills for parent updates and teamwork with other caregivers or educators. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare. Join us in creating a nurturing environment where children thrive!
