Live-In Household Leaders, Two-Person Team Support Adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities | Chapel Hill & Durham, NC This is not a shift to cover. It is a household to help lead. G House is recruiting a two-person, live-in Household Leadership Team to share life alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and help create a connected, welcoming home. Residents choose G House because they want to lead full, interconnected lives in their community. Household Leaders work alongside them, providing the right level of assistance, from encouragement and coaching to hands-on help when needed. What You'll Do

• Build genuine, respectful relationships and foster a positive household culture
• Support residents in working toward individual goals and greater independence
• Assist with activities of daily living: hygiene, dressing, meals, mobility, routines
• Balance hands-on support with opportunities for independence
• Facilitate friendships, work, recreation, appointments, community involvement
• Coordinate transportation and access to places residents choose to go
• Shape household schedules, meals, routines and traditions
• Partner with families, professionals and other members of the support team
• Maintain a safe, organized and enjoyable home Household Leaders are part of a broader team and do not provide all support themselves.

Compensation:

Full-time pay averages $60,000+ with bonuses available. Pay comes from residents' Medicaid waiver and/or private-pay funding through a provider agency or Employer of Record. We're looking for two people who are:

• Comfortable providing both relational and hands-on assistance
• Natural relationship and community builders
• Collaborative, flexible and practical problem-solvers
• Respectful of the choices, dignity and independence of adults with disabilities
• Comfortable taking responsibility for how a household functions
• Interested in a meaningful, long-term opportunity Experience in disability services, education, healthcare, social work, coaching, residential life, nonprofit work, hospitality or community building is helpful, but compassion, character, judgment and commitment matter just as much.

Pay:

$21.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 80.0 per week
