Job Description

We are seeking a warm, dependable, and compassionate individual to join our team as an in-home companion and respite caregiver! ​ Who This Role Is Perfect For ​This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others, enjoy spending time with seniors, and want to support family caregivers in our community : ​ Parents looking for flexible work during school hours ​ Healthcare & Nursing Students seeking a flexible schedule with a heart for caregiving. ​ Compassionate Individuals who want to make a difference in a senior's life while earning extra income. ​ About Us ​ Foothills Respite & Companion Care LLC is a new, locally owned non-medical home care agency. We are building a caring team to provide companionship, safety monitoring, and vital respite care, giving dedicated family members a much needed break from the continuous duties of caring for an aging loved one . ​ Schedule & Hours ​
Hours:
4 to 20 hours per week (Flexible 4-hour blocks between 9:00 AM•5:00 PM). ​
Work Days:
Flexible scheduling, with shifts most commonly running on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM•1:00 PM (or any 4-hour block within the 9:00 AM•5:00 PM window). Weekend and holiday coverage is offered on an as-needed basis upon client request, subject to caregiver availability. ​ What You Will Do (Strictly Non-Medical) ​
Respite Caregiver Relief:
Provide attentive, safe supervision for seniors so their primary family caregivers can take time to run errands, rest, or attend personal appointments with complete peace of mind. ​
Senior Interaction & Companionship:
Build genuine relationships through conversation, board games, reading, and shared hobbies. ​
Safety Supervision:
Provide standby guidance and environmental checks to help keep seniors safe in their homes. ​
Daily Support:
Prepare simple meals, light housekeeping (dusting, dishes, keeping walkways clear), and friendly verbal medication reminders. ​
Transportation & Outings:
Accompany seniors on errands, assist with grocery shopping, and safely drive clients to local medical appointments or social outings. ​ (
Note:
NO hands-on personal care, bathing, heavy physical lifting, or clinical tasks required). ​ Job Requirements ​A heartfelt desire to help others, connect with seniors, and support local families. ​High School Diploma or GED. ​Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and reliable auto insurance. ​Ability to pass a background check and standard health/TB screening. ​ Experience in a similar field is a plus, but not required
Pay:
$15.00•$16.00 per hour
