Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a 3rd Shift Personal Care Assistant (PCA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in residents' lives. As a key member of our caregiving team, you will help promote independence, dignity, and well-being for individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with developmental disabilities, and residents requiring memory or dementia care. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to maintain their independence and hygiene. Monitor residents' vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure their health status is stable. Support medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols to ensure proper treatment. Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments through compassionate engagement and behavior management techniques. Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely and assist with mobility needs to prevent falls and injuries. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and assist with feeding when necessary. Document care activities accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems while maintaining confidentiality and compliance. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control standards are met. Support residents' emotional well-being by engaging in social activities, offering companionship, and fostering a positive atmosphere. Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Requirements Prior experience in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes, assisted living communities, or personal care homes is highly preferred. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges. Certification or experience in first aid is advantageous; willingness to obtain necessary certifications upon hire. Ability to work overnight shifts consistently while maintaining high energy levels and attentiveness throughout the shift. Strong interpersonal skills with a caring attitude toward residents' physical and emotional needs. Experience operating EMR systems for accurate documentation of resident care activities. Valid driver's license is desirable for driving residents or staff when needed for community outings or appointments. Physical ability to assist with mobility aids like Hoyer lifts and perform light housekeeping duties as required.
