Responsibilities Deliver patient personal care assistance, including help with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe changes in health status through diligent patient observation and documentation Assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Support residents with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition tailored to individual dietary needs Utilize proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques, including Hoyer lifts and patient transfer equipment, to ensure safety during mobility assistance Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to infection control protocols Support individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, autism, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and other cognitive impairments through specialized memory care and dementia care techniques Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care in group home or assisted living settings Strong knowledge of patient monitoring, care plans, medication administration, and vital signs assessment Familiarity with HIPAA standards, home health procedures, hospice care practices, and resident's rights protections Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently in emergency situations; certified training preferred Skilled in assisting with ADLs, personal transportation assistance, heavy lifting, and the use of patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving Experience working with individuals with autism or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly valued Join us in providing exceptional care that transforms lives!
