Overview:

The Direct Care Staff (DCS) provides direct care to female clients ages 10-17 in a structured residential setting. This role includes assisting with personal care, maintaining the home environment, and supporting medication administration. The DCS also provides emotional support and helps residents develop essential life skills to promote independence and stability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide direct supervision and care to residents Administer medications as prescribed by a physician Monitor the physical and emotional well-being of residents and report any changes to the Program Director Provide emotional support and assist residents with developing life skills Complete required documentation, including incident reports and progress notes Participate in team meetings and required trainings Intervene appropriately with clients experiencing emotional or behavioral disturbances Monitor the environment to ensure safety at all times Maintain accurate written records related to client behavior and progress Assess and document client progress in assigned programs Communicate effectively with staff across shifts to ensure continuity of care Utilize effective conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred) Experience working with adolescents, behavioral health, or residential settings preferred Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to manage crisis situations in a calm and professional manner Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Must pass background check and drug screening

Schedule:

Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts available 24/7 staffing with awake overnight coverage
