Job Overview Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver with Helping Is Simply Caring and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. This vital role involves providing attentive, respectful, and comprehensive assistance to clients in their own homes or community settings. As an In Home Caregiver, you will promote independence, ensure safety, and enhance quality of life through dedicated caregiving services tailored to each individual's needs. Your energy, empathy, and attention to detail will help create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel valued and cared for every day. Duties Assist clients with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary requirements and assist with meal planning and cooking. Administer medications accurately following care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Support clients with memory care needs related to Alzheimer's disease or dementia through specialized techniques and patience. Use assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to ensure safe transfers and prevent injury during heavy lifting or mobility assistance. Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, reporting findings promptly to healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop, implement, and update personalized care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering social engagement and mental well-being in home or community settings. Transporting client(s) to/from appointments as needed. Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes with a focus on long-term care and social work principles. Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques including vital signs assessment and medication administration. Strong understanding of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, autism support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities. Certified in CPR and First Aid; familiar with HIPAA regulations ensuring client confidentiality at all times. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; adept at assisting with transfers and mobility support. Excellent observational skills for patient safety; attentive to changes in behavior or health status requiring prompt action. Compassionate communicator capable of working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care. Flexibility to adapt to various client needs across different environments such as private homes or community facilities.
