Job Title:

In-Home Caregiver for Elderly Couple - Hamburg, NJ Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, reliable In-Home Personal Caregiver for a sweet elderly couple in Hamburg, NJ . The wife is mostly independent but wheelchair-bound and on oxygen. She needs assistance with cooking and some household chores. Her husband has dementia and requires more hands-on support. Key needs include meal preparation and transportation to medical appointments. This is a wonderful opportunity to build a meaningful connection with a lovely couple who will truly appreciate your help. Michelle Mason with MedAssist is assisting the family with finding the right caregiver. Hours & Pay Hours and pay are negotiable and flexible. The patient and her son will discuss details with you after an initial meeting once everyone agrees it's a good fit. Responsibilities Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility support as needed. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light household chores. Provide medication reminders and support. Offer companionship and cognitive support for dementia/Alzheimer's (memory care techniques and engaging activities). Safely transport clients to medical appointments and occasional outings. Monitor health status and report any changes. Maintain clear documentation of care provided. Requirements Previous experience as a caregiver, preferably with seniors or individuals with dementia/Alzheimer's (a big plus). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Strong communication skills and a patient, caring personality. At least 2 professional references (we will check work history references).
