Caregiver - Rustic HealthOverview Rustic Health is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Caregivers to join our growing home care team. Our Caregivers provide individualized support to children and adults who may have developmental disabilities, physical limitations, behavioral needs, or other conditions that require assistance and supervision in the home and community. Our goal is to help each client remain as independent as possible while receiving the support necessary to live safely and comfortably in their own home. Caregivers play an important role in helping our clients maintain their independence, participate in daily activities, and achieve the goals identified in their individualized plan of care. Depending on the client, services may involve working with children, adults, or individuals with developmental or physical disabilities. Each assignment is based on the specific needs of the client. Caregiver Responsibilities Caregivers provide hands-on assistance, supervision, and support according to the client's individualized plan of care.

Responsibilities may include:

Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene. Providing appropriate supervision to maintain the client's health and safety. Assisting with mobility, positioning, transfers, and ambulation when required. Providing assistance with meals, feeding, and other routine daily needs as outlined in the plan of care. Supporting clients with developmental disabilities, autism, behavioral needs, or other special needs. Providing appropriate redirection and positive behavioral support when needed. Encouraging independence and allowing clients to participate in tasks to the greatest extent possible. Assisting clients with age-appropriate activities, routines, skill building, and community participation. Providing companionship and meaningful interaction. Completing light housekeeping and other client-related tasks when authorized. Observing and reporting changes in the client's condition, behavior, safety, or overall well-being. Accurately documenting services provided during each shift. Following Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements, including properly clocking in and out for scheduled services. Immediately reporting incidents, suspected abuse, neglect, exploitation, injuries, or other safety concerns according to Rustic Health policies and applicable reporting requirements. Maintaining professional boundaries and protecting client confidentiality at all times. Following the client's plan of care and all Rustic Health policies, procedures, and training requirements. Qualifications Applicants should be dependable, patient, compassionate, and comfortable providing individualized care in a client's home. Previous caregiving experience is preferred but may not be required for all positions. Experience working with children, older adults, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, behavioral needs, or individuals requiring assistance with activities of daily living is highly valued. Caregivers must be able to communicate effectively with clients, families, guardians, supervisors, and other members of the care team. Employees must also be able to follow written care plans, complete required documentation, and maintain reliable attendance. Applicants must successfully complete all required pre-employment screening, background check requirements, orientation, CPR/First Aid training, and other training required by Rustic Health or the applicable program before being assigned to a client.
