Full Job Description Responsibilities:

A direct care aide (DCA) is a non-licensed member of the residential services team who assists the client with the tasks of daily living as outlined in a written care plan that is established by a supervisor and is kept in the client's home. The Administrator and Program Manager supervise direct care aides. Duties include but are not limited to: Preparing meals and snacks according to specific dietary requirements; maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment through housekeeping; provide companionship and stimulation. Must have a pleasant disposition and able to work with others.

• High school diploma or GED, able to pass a comprehensive background screening and drug test.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School diploma or GED
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, the ability to de-escalate situations, and a proactive approach to ensuring a safe environment
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of the position Must be able to pass a background check, TB screening, and drug test.
