Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate meaningful and productive activities for individuals. Learn the individuals being supported well - their likes and dislikes, strengths and needs, interests and preferences, and their health requirements. Support communication between the individual and others using relevant assistive technology devices and strategies. Support healthy expression of individuality. Support individuals in accomplishing Individual Service Plan goals. Plan and facilitate activities that promote opportunities to expand personal interests, build skills, develop friendships, and fulfill valued social roles. Assist, train, and encourage individuals to use community resources.
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- Get paid while you learn. Tobosa Developmental Services is seeking staff to provide assistance and support to individuals within a home and community environment. Direct Care Support encourages and assists individuals in developing interdependence, productivity, and integration in the community
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. At least 18 years of age. New Mexico driver's license. Certified Nurse's Assistant preferred. Experience working with persons with developmental disabilities preferred. Ability to provide physical assistance to individuals.
