Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medication Assistant, where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. In this vital role, you will assist with medication administration, support patient well-being, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations. Your expertise will help foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing atmosphere for all residents. Responsibilities Safely administer medications to residents following prescribed instructions and healthcare protocols Assist with resident personal care, including hygiene, mobility, and daily activities Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory care through compassionate engagement Maintain detailed medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations Collaborate with nursing staff to update medical records and report any changes in resident condition promptly Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration procedures Certification in first aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) required; additional certifications such as BLS or hospice care are a plus Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Cerner or similar platforms Strong communication skills for effective caregiver interactions and resident engagement Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring specialized memory or dementia care is advantageous Join us in delivering compassionate senior care that emphasizes dignity, safety, and personalized attention.
