Job Description

Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their safety and comfort. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in health status. Administer medication according to care plans and assist with medication management. Prepare meals and assist with meal planning based on dietary needs. Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe living environment. Support clients with mobility challenges, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being, including memory care for those with Alzheimer's or dementia. Maintain accurate records of patient care activities while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Qualifications Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus. Strong skills in patient observation and monitoring are essential for identifying changes in client conditions. Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs. Familiarity with caregiving best practices, including vital signs monitoring, meal preparation, and medication administration. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A compassionate approach towards caregiving that emphasizes respect for each client's dignity and independence.
