Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Support residents with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Help manage medication reminders and ensure safe patient lifting practices using manual handling techniques Engage residents in social activities, companionship, and recreational programs to foster mental stimulation and emotional well-being Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas in accordance with health standards Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care plans and address individual needs Skills Prior experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care techniques Ability to assist with complex care needs related to geriatrics and long-term care settings Proficiency in vital signs measurement, medication reminders support, and basic first aid/CPR certification Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate standard passenger cars for transportation needs This role is perfect for compassionate individuals eager to develop their caregiving expertise while making a positive impact on residents' lives.
