Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct care and support to residents in a nursing home or assisted living facility.
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer medications according to prescribed instructions.
  • Monitor and record vital signs of residents.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques.
  • Implement behavior management strategies for residents with challenging behaviors.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of residents.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of first aid and basic medical procedures.
  • Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies.
  • Ability to lift and transfer residents safely using proper techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor.
