Overview We are seeking a compassionate and energetic In Home Caregiver to join our team. This vital role involves providing personalized assistance to clients in their homes, supporting their daily needs, and promoting independence. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care with a focus on safety, dignity, and respect. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor patients' health status by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall well-being Support with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs according to care plans Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments or errands, ensuring safe client transfers using appropriate techniques such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods Maintain detailed documentation of patient observations, care provided, and any changes in condition in compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment Support clients with cognitive impairments like dementia or Alzheimer's through memory care techniques and structured routines Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques including vital signs and medication administration Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, or neurodevelopmental disorders Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts and proper patient transfer methods Strong communication skills for effectively interacting with clients and their families while respecting residents' rights Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional training in HIPAA compliance preferred Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly valued Join us to provide compassionate home-based care that truly makes a difference!
