Job Summary The Home Health Aide plays a crucial role in providing compassionate care and support to individuals in their homes or assisted living facilities. This position involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their overall well-being. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve while adhering to medical protocols and maintaining confidentiality. Duties Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance. Assist clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety. Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and meal preparation. Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes to the healthcare team. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support clients with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health plans. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Skills Strong caregiving skills with a genuine passion for helping others. Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to understand basic medical documentation. Familiarity with home community care practices and assisted living environments. Proficiency in performing CPR and first aid when necessary. Ability to launder clothing and linens while maintaining hygiene standards. Competence in measuring and recording vital signs accurately. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Attention to detail and ability to follow care plans diligently.
