(614) 259-3890 Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and personalized care to individuals in their own homes. This vital role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence while fostering a warm and respectful environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, attentive to detail, and passionate about enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients and their families through dedicated caregiving and support. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, medication administration, and overall condition; report changes promptly Support clients with meal preparation, nutritional needs, and feeding assistance to promote healthy living Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or social outings to maintain client independence Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders support Use proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safety during transfers Maintain accurate documentation of patient observations, medication schedules, and care activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and maintaining a safe environment for clients Engage in patient observation to identify potential health concerns or behavioral changes that require escalation Support clients with assisted living or home health needs while respecting their dignity and preferences Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care preferred Knowledge of home & community care practices including hospice care, long-term care experience, and geriatrics Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure clarity and trust Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance to safeguard client confidentiality Skilled in assisting with personal transportation and mobility aids like Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods Capable of heavy lifting when necessary while maintaining safety protocols for manual handling tasks Compassionate attitude with excellent caregiving skills focused on patient personal care assistance Ability to adapt quickly to different client needs while maintaining professionalism and patience Join us in making a positive impact by providing compassionate home care that enhances independence and improves lives.
