As an In Home Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive care tailored to each client's unique needs. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, managing medication administration, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly. Support residents with mobility and transfers using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods. Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring proper food safety standards. Maintain accurate care plans by documenting patient progress, updating records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and communicating effectively with healthcare teams. Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation. Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment. Requirements Proven experience working as a caregiver in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes. Knowledge of care with a patient of blindness is encouraged. Ability to perform patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, and medication administration accurately. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift training or manual handling are preferred. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is a plus.
