Responsibilities:

Must be able to pass a background check and complete preservice dementia, preservice infection prevention, and caregiver training. Treat all community members with respect, dignity, and compassion. Support and perform care as specified in the community member service plan. Assure community members are accounted for. Observe community members for changes in condition and report any significant changes. Respond to emergencies according to current policies and procedures. Complete incident reports per policy on assigned shift. Take and record vitals into community members' charts. Promptly respond to calls. Tidy community members' rooms and other common areas around the facility. Change linens and remove garbage. Complete laundry and ensure it is delivered back to the room promptly. Transfer and escort community members following care plans and safe practices. Document care was provided. Read and contribute to shifting reports and care notes to ensure continuity of care. Administer medications after medication class and approval from the Administrator. Report to the Administrator any signs of community member abuse or witnessed misappropriation. Have a neat and clean appearance and adhere to the dress code as policy indicates. Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by the nurse verbally or in writing.
