We are seeking compassionate and dependable Home Care Aides / Direct Care Workers who are committed to helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, comfort, and quality of life. Position Overview As a Home Care Aide, you will provide non-medical assistance and companionship to clients in their homes. You will support clients with everyday activities while following the client's individualized service plan and Dream Angels Home Care policies and procedures. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, treats clients with dignity and respect, and can work independently while maintaining professionalism and reliability. Responsibilities Depending on the client's individual service plan, responsibilities may include: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including: Bathing Dressing Grooming Toileting Personal hygiene Ambulation and mobility Transfers, when trained and authorized Provide companionship and meaningful social interaction. Assist clients with maintaining independence and dignity in their homes. Provide medication reminders and assistance with self-administered medications , as permitted by the client's service plan and applicable requirements. Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to the client's needs and preferences. Assist with light housekeeping and household tasks, including: Laundry Dusting Sweeping Changing linens Maintaining a clean and safe living environment Provide respite support for family caregivers. Assist clients with errands and other approved household activities when included in the service plan. Provide non-medical companionship and support to individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia. Provide appropriate non-medical companionship and support to clients receiving hospice services, when included in the service plan. Assist with mobility and transfers using approved assistive equipment when the caregiver has received appropriate training and demonstrated competency. Observe and promptly report changes in a client's condition, behavior, safety, or needs to the appropriate Dream Angels supervisor. Complete required service notes, time records, and other documentation accurately and on time. Follow each client's individualized service plan and assigned duties. Protect client privacy and confidentiality. Follow HIPAA/privacy requirements and all Dream Angels Home Care policies and procedures. Maintain professional boundaries and treat every client with compassion, dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity. What This Position Does NOT Include This is a non-medical home care position . Caregivers will not independently perform skilled nursing services, including: Injections Wound care requiring skilled nursing Medication administration Nursing assessments Skilled medical procedures Other services outside the caregiver's training, competency, or authorized service plan Caregivers are expected to stay within their assigned responsibilities and immediately report concerns to Dream Angels Home Care. Qualifications Previous caregiving, home care, personal care, assisted living, or related experience preferred. Experience working with older adults or individuals with disabilities is a plus. Experience with dementia or Alzheimer's care is preferred but not required. Compassionate and respectful attitude toward clients. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to communicate professionally with clients, families, and agency staff. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work independently in a client's home. Ability to safely perform assigned physical duties appropriate to the position. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred. CNA, HHA, or other relevant caregiving training is a plus, but not required if the applicant meets applicable competency requirements.
