Job Summary Surrey is a growing non-profit organization whose mission is to help older adults live with independence and dignity and as engaged members of their communities. The Home Care Team provides services to individuals when they need more help at home. The Home Care Associate plays an integral part of the process by working with department members to hire all of the Care Givers, Cleaners and Social Companions that Surrey Home Care places in clients' homes. There are additional administrative and operational tasks, all with the aim of ensuring the delivery of quality services and contributing to the success of the Home Care Department. Responsibilities Initiate hiring process for Home Care including reviewing applications, assessments, interviewing, on-boarding, and making hiring recommendations for Home Care and Caregiving training program. Conduct in-person interviews and new hire orientation. Partner with management to plan and anticipate workforce needs. Organize, schedule and lead new employee orientation. Ensure all new hire paperwork is complete, all hiring requirements are met and provided to HR to complete and maintain in HR files. Pursue creative ways to attract candidates such as job fairs, specialized job boards, etc. Update legacy documents to new formats and styles. Answer incoming phone calls and address inquiries according to the Home Care processes and guidelines. Schedule Home Care Services and ensure all appropriate documentation is in place. Maintain contact and liaise with clients, families and Care Givers for services and report changes to team members. Maintain complete and accurate records in Home Care software. Assist in management of annual performance evaluations and in auditing and maintaining client files in accordance with regulations. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in relevant field. Previous recruiting experience strongly preferred Minimum of 1 year of Customer Service experience. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are required. Must possess excellent administrative and organizational skills. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as the ability to learn new technologies quickly. Ability to project a positive and professional image of Surrey in the community while sustaining a pleasant and nurturing work environment.
