Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor vital signs and observe health changes to ensure safety and well-being Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care strategies and behavioral management techniques Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs while maintaining cleanliness in dining and living areas Provide transportation for appointments or outings, ensuring safe driving practices Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and adhering to infection control standards Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and family members to develop and implement personalized care plans Requirements Prior experience in long-term care, nursing homes, home & community care, or personal care homes is highly preferred Knowledge of assisted living environments and resident-centered care approaches Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or dementia care are advantageous Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with residents and team members Experience operating EMR systems for documentation purposes Valid driver's license for transportation duties; clean driving record preferred Physical ability to lift residents safely using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts and perform routine caregiving tasks Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual receives respectful, attentive care.
