Overnight 3rd Direct Support Professional Awake $22.50 Resting $19.00 Summary The Awake Overnight DSP provides support and supervision for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities during the night in their home. They are responsible for remaining alert and available throughout the shift while providing assistance as needed to ensure each individual's health, safety, and overall wellbeing. A Resting Overnight DSP During the active portion of the shift, the DSP assists with routine household responsibilities, prepares the home for the following day, and provides support with any scheduled or emerging needs. The DSP must remain available to respond to individuals as needed throughout the overnight hours. Prior to the end of the shift, the DSP gets up and actively participates in the morning routine, providing assistance with personal care, medication or treatments as authorized, breakfast preparation, and other activities necessary to help individuals begin their day safely and successfully. While a private sleeping area is provided, the DSP remains on-site to assist with scheduled nighttime needs, personal care, and any developing needs. Essential Functions - Awake Overnight Remain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the entire overnight shift. Provide direct support and personal care based on each individual's needs and individualized plan of care. Monitor individuals throughout the shift and respond appropriately to health, safety, personal care, and other overnight needs. Follow individualized plans of care, health and safety protocols, organizational policies, and procedures. Administer medications and perform treatments as authorized and in accordance with applicable regulations, organizational policy, and required training. Observe and report changes in an individual's condition, behavior, or needs to nursing staff and/or management. Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and other situations requiring immediate attention. Complete assigned household cleaning, laundry, and other routine overnight tasks as required. Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly home environment. Accurately and objectively document overnight activities, services provided, observations, incidents, and other required information. Protect the privacy, dignity, rights, and confidentiality of the individuals receiving services. Maintain professional and respectful interactions with individuals, families, coworkers, supervisors, healthcare professionals, and community partners. Maintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and appropriate professional conduct. Attendance and punctuality are essential job functions. Essential Functions - Resting Overnigh t Awake to disturbances or any noise equivalent to that of a telephone decibel . Provide overall assistance and support to people in their home, hospital or other location, including self-preservation. If an emergent situation arises, staff are required to remain awake and provide assistance in communication with the management team. Required to assist people supported with the morning routine and personal care (showering/grooming/dressing). Evaluate person supported health status and inform nurse/house manager. Administer medication as necessary. Prepare breakfast with people supported.
Clean kitchen and bathroom:
countertops; sweep and vacuum floors; empty trash baskets; straighten up the house prior to leaving shift. Complete all paperwork and documentation prior to leaving shift. Follow all care plans attending to individual's wellbeing, reporting any concerns to nurse or management. Ensure proper administration of medications and treatments. Maintain a positive, productive team environment including relationships with people supported, families, management, coworkers and community associations. Objectively monitor and document the status of the people supported, including implementing care plans. Attendance and punctuality are essential job functions. Minimum Requirements Must be at least 18 years old; High School Diploma or GED; Valid driver's license with a good driving record Compensation & Job Opportunities 3rd

Sun/Mon/Tue & Every Other Sat 10pm-8am 3rd
Shift Resting:
$19.00 per hour
