Full-Time / Part-Time About the Opportunity We are seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Care Workers to join a 24/7 residential treatment program serving boys ages 6-16 who may be experiencing behavioral, emotional, or mental health challenges, including youth who have experienced abuse, neglect, or trauma. This is a hands-on role focused on providing daily supervision, behavioral support, mentorship, and structure while helping create a safe and therapeutic environment for residents. The ideal candidate is patient, compassionate, consistent, and comfortable working with youth in a structured residential setting. Experience working with children, adolescents, behavioral health, education, crisis response, or other high-stress care environments is preferred. What You'll Do Provide daily supervision, support, and care to residents in a residential treatment setting. Build positive, trusting relationships with youth through consistency, fairness, and genuine concern for their well-being. Help residents develop appropriate social, emotional, communication, and independent-living skills. Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment by following facility policies and safety procedures. Support behavioral interventions and treatment goals as directed by the multidisciplinary treatment team. Recognize and respond appropriately to behavioral or emotional escalations and crisis situations. Utilize approved CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) physical intervention techniques , including restraint, when necessary to maintain safety. Document resident behaviors, activities, incidents, and progress accurately and objectively. Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, clinicians, and other members of the treatment team. Promptly report safety concerns, incidents, or concerning behavior. Participate in required training and ongoing professional development. Perform additional duties as needed to support the residential program.

What We're Looking For Required:

High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional during challenging situations. Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to respond appropriately during crisis situations. Flexibility to work a rotating 12-hour schedule in a 24/7 residential environment.

Preferred:

Experience working with children or adolescents. Experience in behavioral health, mental health, child welfare, education, residential treatment, healthcare, or crisis-response settings. Coursework or a degree in psychology, social work, child development, behavioral health, public health, or a related field. Experience with trauma-informed care and behavioral health.

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
