Saturdays and Sundays required Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Caregiver/Sitter to provide high-quality care and support for children with autism in a home-based setting. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of autism, demonstrate patience and empathy, and be able to create a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. This part-time position requires availability every Saturday and Sunday. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate, and dependable care for children with autism.
• Support daily routines and activities while promoting safety, dignity, independence, and overall well-being.
• Create a calm, structured, and supportive environment based on the child's individual needs.
• Assist with activities of daily living as needed, including grooming, toileting, ambulation, feeding, and personal care support.
• Provide companionship, emotional support, encouragement, and positive engagement.
• Assist with meal preparation, snacks, and nutrition according to care instructions.
• Monitor and observe the child's needs, behavior, and overall condition, and report concerns to the appropriate supervisor or family contact.
• Follow individualized care plans, family instructions, safety guidelines, and agency policies and procedures.
• Perform light housekeeping related to care, including tidying activity areas, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided, as required.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times. Qualifications and Requirements Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience caring for children with autism.
• Strong understanding of the needs, routines, communication styles, and behaviors of children with autism.
• Previous caregiver, sitter, direct support, childcare, or related experience required.
• Must be available to work every Saturday and Sunday.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Demonstrated patience, empathy, professionalism, reliability, and sound judgment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow individualized care instructions.
• Ability to successfully complete background checks and reference verification.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to the client's home.
