Job Description
Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Personal Care Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients by offering personalized care in their homes or community settings. This position requires a nurturing attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining the dignity and independence of those you serve. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Maintain a clean and organized environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Uphold confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA regulations while providing care. Engage with clients who have specific needs such as dementia care or autism support. Experience Previous experience in caregiving or personal care is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Familiarity with long-term care practices and home community care is an asset. Knowledge of medication administration protocols is beneficial. Experience working with individuals with dementia or autism is highly valued. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients.
