Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and engaging Personal Caregiver to provide dedicated one-on-one support for a child in their home. This role goes beyond basic needs, focusing on creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that supports the child's physical, emotional, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will be patient, adaptable, and passionate about making a positive impact on a child's life and a family's well-being. This position is 40 hours a week.
Duties Personal Care Assistance:
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene needs.
Supervision and Safety:
Ensure the child's safety at all times by providing constant supervision and maintaining a secure, clean, and organized environment.
Meal Preparation:
Plan and prepare nutritious meals and snacks, encouraging healthy eating habits.
Engaging Activities:
Plan and participate in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities (e.g., games, crafts, reading, outdoor play) to foster development and social skills Skills A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must be at least 18 years of age (21 or 25 may be preferred depending on specific program requirements). Prior experience working with children, preferably those with special needs or disabilities, is a plus. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance are required. Ability to pass a comprehensive state (SLED) and federal background check and drug test. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient, compassionate, and empathetic demeanor. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing situations. Pay:
Up to $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
