Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Male Caregiver to provide exceptional in-home care for a client in, TN. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of a bed-bound individual requiring specialized attention. The caregiver will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, delivering personalized support that promotes dignity and independence. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive personal care assistance, including bathing, grooming, and mobility support tailored to bed-bound patients Monitor and observe patient condition regularly, noting any changes or concerns to ensure prompt response Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as feeding, dressing, and toileting while maintaining patient dignity Manage medication administration accurately following medical instructions and documentation protocols Operate medical equipment safely, including Hoyer lifts, catheters, and vital signs monitoring devices Maintain detailed medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems or home health documentation tools Ensure compliance with home healthcare regulations and HIPAA standards by maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Support with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and meal preparation to promote a safe living environment Communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals to coordinate ongoing care plans Adhere to safety procedures during patient transfers using proper patient transfer methods and assistive devices Experience Prior assisted living or home healthcare experience working with bed-bound or immobile patients is essential Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, medication management, and vital signs assessment Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia (including Alzheimer's), or memory care needs is highly desirable Familiarity with hospice care practices and end-of-life support preferred Hands-on experience operating medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheters, and EHR systems required Strong understanding of home health care regulations, HIPAA compliance, and patient confidentiality standards Proven ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with patient transfers using appropriate techniques or equipment Previous work in geriatrics or long-term care settings will be advantageous Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus Join our team if you're motivated by compassionate caregiving that transforms lives!
