Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Personal Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various living environments. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence for clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized care such as dementia or autism. THIS POSITION IS FOR TEMPORARY CASES AND PRN HOURS ONLY!

Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Support patient monitoring through vital signs checks and observation of health status Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed Facilitate safe patient transfers using manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring proper sanitation practices Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community activities while ensuring client safety at all times.

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN VEHICLE WITH CURRENT INSURANCE AND VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE!

Follow established care plans, document observations, and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient progress or concerns Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or autism by implementing specialized memory or behavioral care strategies Uphold residents' rights by respecting privacy, dignity, and autonomy in all interactions Skills Proven experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings Strong patient observation skills to monitor health changes or behavioral shifts effectively Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Experience with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism Ability to perform patient transfers using Hoyer lifts and other manual handling techniques safely Skilled in administering medications and taking vital signs accurately Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare professionals Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform physically demanding tasks when necessary Familiarity with care plans, resident's rights, and documentation procedures in long-term or home care environments Competence in first aid and CPR certification to respond promptly during emergencies Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities support needs Strong organizational skills for managing multiple clients' schedules and care requirements Join our team if you're passionate about providing compassionate caregiving that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
