Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Part-Time Homemaker (Resident Care Aide) in an assisted living environment, where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to residents by assisting with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility to promote independence and dignity Support residents with medication reminders and monitor vital signs when trained and authorized to do so Help with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual needs Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping, laundry, and sanitation tasks Engage residents in social activities and companionship to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Follow safe manual handling practices during resident transfers and mobility assistance to prevent injuries Document care activities accurately in resident records and communicate effectively with team members about resident needs Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care homes is highly preferred Demonstrated experience assisting with ADLs and providing personal care in senior or long-term care settings Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavioral management techniques Familiarity with vital signs monitoring, medication administration support, and basic first aid/CPR certification Experience working with individuals with developmental or cognitive disabilities is advantageous Ability to operate a standard passenger car for transportation purposes when necessary Strong communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members effectively Join us in creating a supportive environment where compassion meets professionalism!
