Job Overview:

The Home Care Provider provides compassionate in-home assistance with daily living, personal care, household tasks, and companionship while promoting the client's safety, comfort, dignity, and independence. The role also involves monitoring and promptly reporting changes in the client's condition to the supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist clients with activities of daily living, including: Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, feeding and meal assistance, exercising, ambulation, positioning, and transfers, and routine hair and skin care. Assist clients with self-administration of medications and provide medication reminders, in accordance with applicable policies and regulations. Prepare meals according to the client's dietary requirements and preferences. Perform light housekeeping and household tasks essential to the client's care, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment. Assist with shopping, errands, and other routine household needs. Escort clients to appointments, activities, and other necessary outings. Provide companionship and emotional support while encouraging social interaction and activities that promote mental alertness and engagement. Establish and maintain a respectful, trusting, and confidential relationship with the client and their family. Support clients in maintaining their dignity, independence, and quality of life. Recognize and appropriately respond to challenging or behavioral situations using established care practices. Observe and promptly report any changes in the client's physical or mental condition, behavior, or home situation to the supervisor. Maintain client privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Follow established home-care procedures, safety standards, and care plans. Perform other duties related to client care as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications /

Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required Previous experience in home care, caregiving, assisted living, senior care, childcare, social work.

Physical & Work Requirements:

Ability to assist clients with mobility, transfers, positioning, ambulation, and other physical-care activities as required. Ability to perform routine household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, and meal preparation. Ability to maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients.

Pay:

$13.00 - $14.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 8.0 per week
