Job Description

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and group homes. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalized care and assistance with daily activities. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide patient observation and monitoring to ensure safety and well-being. Prepare meals according to dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper nutrition. Perform light cleaning and housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and tidy living environment. Administer medication as prescribed and assist with care plans tailored to individual needs. Support clients with mobility challenges using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation, including memory care exercises for those with Alzheimer's or dementia. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients with various needs, including those requiring hospice or long-term care support. Requirements Proven experience in home health care, senior care, or working with individuals with disabilities, including autism or developmental disabilities. Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; knowledge of vital signs monitoring is a plus. Strong understanding of patient care principles, including medication administration and care plans. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for client mobility assistance. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A compassionate approach to caregiving that prioritizes the dignity and respect of all clients. Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules while providing consistent support.
