Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Direct Care Coach, providing compassionate, hands-on support to youth survivors in a long-term care settings. This role is vital in promoting independence, dignity, and healing from trauma for residents with diverse needs, including those with complex prolonged trauma. Available for 2nd and 3rd shifts, this position offers an energetic and caring environment where your caregiving skills make a meaningful difference every day. You will be responsible for delivering personalized care that respects each resident's rights while fostering a safe, engaging community. Duties Supervise residents in a therapeutic setting. Facilities social emotional learning and life skills activities. Communicate with residents, team members, and leadership staff regarding concerns. Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate documentation Engage residents in social activities and therapeutic programs to enhance mental well-being and community involvement Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control procedures and assisting with cleaning tasks as needed Qualifications Prior experience in residential care setting is highly preferred Knowledge of youth care, trauma informed practices, and flexible but structured approach is essential Certifications such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid are required or obtainable upon hire Ability to operate a standard passenger car for community outings or appointments safely Strong communication skills to effectively support client needs and collaborate with team members Join us in creating a nurturing environment where every resident feels valued and supported!
