Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their own homes. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper manual handling and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting findings accurately in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with medication administration following care plans to ensure optimal health outcomes. Provide companionship and emotional support while engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces. Support clients during outings or appointments by providing personal transportation assistance and ensuring safety at all times. Document all care activities thoroughly, communicate effectively with healthcare teams, and adhere strictly to resident's rights and confidentiality standards. Qualifications Proven experience working as an In Home Caregiver or in similar roles within home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care including Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities such as autism or intellectual disabilities. Familiarity with medical procedures such as medication administration, patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, CPR certification, first aid training, and use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts. Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions like dementia or geriatrics. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with patient transfers using proper techniques for manual handling. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare providers while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards. Valid driver's license preferred for personal transportation assistance; flexibility to work various shifts based on client needs.
