Caregiver Valley Haven - 3.3 Harlingen, TX Job Details Part-time | Full-time $10 an hour 3 days ago Qualifications Transporting special needs passengers High school diploma or GED Child safety supervision Personal transportation assistance Performing background checks Full Job Description Caregivers deliver essential basic childcare and supervision to children residing at Valley Haven while embracing and upholding our mission and values. Caregivers must be effective in problem-solving and decision-making skills. While having flexibility, reliability, patience, and being self-motivated. Caregivers also need the ability to thrive in a continually changing environment and to demonstrate professionalism, interpersonal skills, and have strong written and oral communication skills.
Qualifications:
21 years old or older. High school diploma or equivalent. Must pass criminal history and child maltreatment background checks. Must submit a pre-employment drug screen as well as random drug screens when directed.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Positive role model for children in our care. Maturity to treat children with dignity and respect at all times, in all circumstances. Mature judgement and an ability to act in a n independent, responsible manner in all matters relating to the care and safety of the children. Ability to engage and effectively communicate with persons from diverse cultures and communities, as well as from different groups, including children, colleagues, support staff members, supervisors, & administrators. Care and Supervision for children ranging from birth to 17. Provision of Material, Physical, Spiritual, Emotional, and Disciplinary Needs. Transportation for children in our care to allappropriate facilities, to include medical/health & welfare appointments.' '
