Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Giver to join our team in Lewisville. In this vital role, you will provide personalized care and support to individuals across various settings, including home health, assisted living, and memory care facilities. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Administer medications following prescribed care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols. Support patients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques and engagement activities. Provide personal transportation assistance for appointments or community outings, ensuring safety at all times during transfers or outings. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and assist with medication administration accurately. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia enhances your ability to deliver specialized care. Knowledge of resident's rights, HIPAA compliance, and care planning processes is essential for providing respectful and compliant care. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift operation or manual handling are advantageous. Proven skills in client communication, patient personal care assistance, heavy lifting, and assisting with ADLs are critical for success in this role. A background in geriatrics or long-term care settings will support your ability to deliver high-quality caregiving services.
