Responsibilities Supervise and support youth and young adults in residential or community settings, ensuring safety and well-being at all times Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and conflict resolution using de-escalation techniques Assist with intake procedures, case management tasks, and data collection to track client progress effectively Provide crisis intervention when necessary, responding swiftly to high-risk situations with calm professionalism Administer medications following proper protocols and maintain accurate documentation of medication administration Collaborate with families, social workers, mental health professionals, and community organizations to coordinate care plans Maintain resident confidentiality while supporting individuals with diverse backgrounds, including underserved communities and those experiencing homelessness Qualifications Proven supervising experience working with youth or high-risk populations in childcare, behavioral health, or social work settings Strong communication and writing skills to document incidents, progress notes, and case details clearly and professionally Knowledge of conflict management, de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, and behavioral health principles Experience working with individuals with mental health conditions is highly desirable Ability to handle manual tasks such as manual handling and first aid procedures confidently; CPR certification is preferred Familiarity with Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting purposes Demonstrated experience working with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations Valid certifications in First Aid, CPR, medication administration, and security protocols are advantageous Capable of working independently while maintaining teamwork in fast-paced environments that require flexibility and resilience This role is ideal for compassionate professionals eager to support vulnerable populations through engaging activities, structured routines, and empathetic communication.
