Header Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Filipino Speaking Caregiver to join our team and provide exceptional care to individuals in need of support. Duties Provide direct personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate client transfer methods such as Gaite belt and manual handling techniques. Assist client with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity at all times. Monitor clients changes in health status, and report findings accurately to healthcare professionals. Administer medications following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as necessary. Support client with medication administration, wound care, and basic nursing tasks within scope of practice. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Facilitate transportation for appointments or outings using personal or facility-provided transportation methods. Document care activities diligently, update care plans regularly, and communicate effectively with clients and team members about clients' progress. Assist clients with cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's or dementia by implementing memory care techniques and providing compassionate supervision. Support individuals with neurodevelopmental or developmental disabilities through tailored caregiving strategies and behavioral support. Skills Fluency in Filipino with excellent communication skills in English for effective interaction with client and team members. Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of client observation, monitoring vital signs, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification. Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and memory support techniques. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper manual handling techniques; experience operating Hoyer lifts is advantageous. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information. Capable of assisting with complex patient transfer methods and supporting patients during mobility challenges safely. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team; excellent client communication skills are essential.
