Residential Caretaker / Youth Care Worker requirements Residential Treatment Center — Girls, Ages 7-17 Position Summary The Residential Caretaker provides direct, day-to-day supervision, care, and support to female residents ages 7-17 in a structured, trauma-informed residential treatment setting. This role ensures the physical safety, emotional well-being, and daily needs of residents are met while reinforcing therapeutic goals established by the clinical team. Key Responsibilities Provide consistent, direct supervision of residents during assigned shifts, including overnight, weekend, and holiday coverage as scheduled Support residents with daily living activities: hygiene, meals, chores, homework, and bedtime routines Model and reinforce healthy boundaries, coping skills, and behavior management strategies consistent with the facility's treatment approach De-escalate crisis situations using trauma-informed and approved intervention techniques Document daily observations, incidents, and behavioral notes accurately and in a timely manner Transport residents to appointments, school, or activities as needed Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and educators to support each resident's individualized treatment plan Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing living environment Respond to emergencies and follow all safety, health, and reporting protocols (including mandated reporting requirements) Build supportive, professional relationships with residents while maintaining appropriate boundaries Qualifications High school diploma required; or GED Prior experience working with children/adolescents in residential, foster care, or behavioral health settings preferred Ability to pass background checks, including child abuse/neglect clearances and fingerprinting CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Training in crisis intervention (e.g., CPI, MANDT, or similar) preferred; willingness to complete required training Valid driver's license and clean driving record (if transporting residents) Strong communication, patience, and de-escalation skills Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and actively supervise residents for extended periods Ability to physically intervene in crisis situations per approved safety protocols, if necessary

$16.00 per hour
