As an In Home Caregiver, you will be a trusted companion and caregiver, ensuring that clients receive the highest quality of care tailored to their unique needs. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, documenting findings accurately in care plans. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with meal planning to promote health and well-being. Administer medications safely following prescribed instructions while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy. Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care techniques and personalized engagement strategies. Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or community activities ensuring safety during transfers and travel. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and laundry as needed. Requirements Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or in senior care settings such as assisted living or nursing homes. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, first aid, CPR, and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with care plans, resident's rights, HIPAA compliance, manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts, and patient transfer methods. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and work independently in a home environment. Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Valid certifications in first aid and CPR are required; additional certifications related to hospice care or home health are a plus.
